More About Hillarie and Her Art
Earth is home to a multitude of interesting, curious, and fantastical life forms. As a lover of all things nature, Hillarie Mattox's art reflects a curiosity about these life forms and how they interact with one another.
She loves to capture the relationships within and between humanity and nature. Do they remain separate? Or do they unite? If they come together, is it a daunting collision, or a graceful unison? Her art often explores the connection between some of the subtleties of nature and the boldness of humankind.
When illustrating the story of humans and nature, together or apart, Hillarie creates loose and dynamic forms. Whether she is am working with paint or pencil, in grayscale or color, Hillarie focuses on bringing fluidity to her work. Her graphic, bold style captures a sense of movement that is almost always present in the cycle of life.
As an aspiring young artist from Columbus Ohio, and attendant of Columbus College of Art and Design, Hillarie is ambitious to continue, observing, expressing, and creating.
